The energy is transmitted to the plastic workpiece through the welding head, which melts the joint surface of the plastic workpiece after severe friction with tens of thousands of ultrasonic frequencies and certain amplitudes per second. The transient pressure maintained on the workpiece after vibration stops makes the two weldments solidify as a whole by means of molecular linkage. Generally, the welding time is less than 1 second, and the welding strength obtained is comparable to that of the body.
